Frenzal Rhomb

8.30pm

You’ve never had so much fun. Sydney’s iconic profane punks are coming down for what’ll surely be a sweary headbanging hoot.

Sandcastles

7.15pm

Sydney-based jazz-improv trio (sax, guitar, drums) bring their blend of delicate lyricism, soothing minimalism, and powerful post-rock climaxes.

Danny Healy Quartet

Being Bechet

A man is playing a clarinet. We see him front-on. His eyes are closed, and he looks like he's really playing the hell out of it.

6pm

Woodwind-king Danny Healy pays tribute to the late, great Sidney Bechet, playing Bechet’s original tunes as well as those he made famous.

Surfilm

9.45pm

An assemblage of new and old surf footage and ephemera from Tassie film maker, designer and pro surfer Dion Agius, accompanied by a spontaneously composed live surf-rock soundtrack from Brian Ritchie and Associates. The band will be seeing the footage for the first time, guaranteeing truly responsive improvisation.
